Red Book Current started when Justin (guitar/vocals/writer) got together with drummer, Paul Bland (punky paul), so punctual that he was one of the first members. From there they met up with Chris (guitar/backup vocals) who was the underline for Justin's guitar work. Andrew (bass/vocals) joined shortly after recording and 2 days before their first show at the door in deep ellum on August 15th 2003. Red Book Current is currently putting out new material without any end in sight. RBC has grown immensley as a young group of talented musicians while transforming their unique style of melodic indie rock into a new, more developed, emo/post hardcore style. The multitalented group from Dallas, Texas, is quickly making its presence felt throughout the local music scene. In an industry that recently has appeared to become so easily popularized by a teeny pop/radio onslaught, Red Book Current has now and will forever remain loyal to their fans throught their love for music, love for their fans, and their love for bumping butts. They love it.
